How it works
Research points to increased formation of new blood vessels at the site of injury and to upregulation of growth factor receptors there. It appears mostly in tendon, ligament and gastrointestinal models rather than in muscle work.
Dosage
Protocols in the literature commonly run 250–500 mcg per day, often close to the area of interest. Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water and refrigerate once mixed.
Side effects
Reported as well tolerated across the published research, with injection-site irritation the most frequent complaint.
