How it works
A stabilised analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone. It prompts the pituitary to release GH in natural pulses, and the resulting rise in IGF-1 mobilises deep abdominal fat in preference to subcutaneous fat.
Dosage
Research dosing is usually 1–2 mg daily, given in the evening. Reconstituted vials need refrigeration.
Side effects
Injection-site reactions, joint aches, fluid retention and occasionally reduced glucose tolerance on long courses.
