How it works
Binds both the GIP and the GLP-1 receptor. The combination gives stronger appetite suppression and a better glycaemic response than GLP-1 alone, and it has largely replaced single-agonist peptides in protocols.
Dosage
Commonly 2.5 mg weekly to start, increasing every four weeks. A 10 mg vial covers a full titration cycle at the lower doses.
Side effects
Gastrointestinal effects dominate: nausea, constipation or diarrhoea, early satiety. They ease as tolerance builds.
